A Sacramento native, Dr. Long is returning home after five years of practicing veterinary medicine at a general practice in Texas. She graduated from the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 2020 and brings extensive expertise and a passion for pet care to our hospital.
Dr. Long has a special interest in surgery and is experienced in a variety of procedures. She also enjoys helping pets with eye and skin problems, making sure they get the care they need. Known for her excellent communication skills, Dr. Long takes the time to address pet owners’ concerns and provide personalized care plans. Her dedication to educating pet owners empowers them to make informed decisions about their pets’ health.
As a Fear Free Certified veterinarian, Dr. Long focuses on minimizing stress and anxiety for pets during their visits. She uses techniques like gentle restraint and calming strategies to create a positive experience for pets and build trust for future visits.
